The foundation “Ziedot.lv” is the largest charity organization in Latvia established in 2003. It is one of the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation’s oldest cooperation partners. Ziedot.lv has been receiving the Foundation’s support from day one – both in the form of regular donations to Ziedot.lv and Children’s Rehabilitation Centre POGA, as well as donations for specific campaigns.
Ziedot.lv and the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation are collaborating on various projects. The foundation's support is provided to charity kitchens, children’s rehabilitation programs, illuminating stars atop the Freedom Monument.
Continues the initiative “Will help. Will listen”. The Foundation's annual co-financing ensures the opportunity to attract donations for charity projects each year, amounting to at least half a million euros, and also facilitates Ziedot.lv ability to provide support to individuals facing social crises, addressing issues in a timely and targeted manner to help them return to the labor market or restore their previous social situation. Each year, support is provided to at least 200 families who have found themselves in a social crisis due to illness, unemployment, accidents, or other sudden misfortunes, and the individuals themselves lack the necessary resources to resolve the situation.
The work of Ziedot.lv is supported also by covering utility costs and co-financing salaries to staff.
The gratitude of Ziedot.lv to the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation.
Ziedot.lv was established to bring together those who need help and those who can offer it. “A crowd can do what one man will fail to accomplish,” says Rūta Dimanta, the director of Ziedot.lv. As she told in her interview with Latvian Radio 1, Latvian people and companies have raised 73 million euros in the last 20 years to make Latvia better. Donations have mostly been spent on helping children, abandoned pets, and seniors.
In 2016, Rūta Dimanta received the first-ever award from the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation – the Badge of Honour – for her many years of committed service to Latvian society and her high achievements.
Charity goes on and continues in other projects.
