The Latvian Radio Theatre is celebrating its 90 anniversary. The special anniversary event took place on 17 August at the Latvian Radio 1 studio, and was attended by programme makers, actors and directors.

The public debut of the new “Steinway & Sons” concert grand piano took place at the Dzintari Concert Hall . Further, the grand piano will exclusively be used in the venue’s historic Small Hall.

The foundation supports the production of plays performed at the Mikhail Chekhov Riga Russian Theatre, including its production of William Shakespeare’s masterpiece King Lear. It was first performed publicly on 12 May 2017.

The goal of the programme "Do it yourself for your family table" is to give people in difficulty the chance to grow their own fruit and vegetables to put food on their family’s table.

The most appropriate model of the “Steinway & Sons” concert grand piano for the Dzintari Concert Hall was chosen by the outstanding pianist Vestards Šimkus factory. The Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation supports the purchase of the piano.
